Dublin. See Trinity College, well known for its 9th century Book of Kells. St. Patrick’s Cathedral and historic Phoenix Park are also worth seeing. Be sure to drop into one of the lively Dublin pubs for a drop of Guinness.

Kilkenny. This medieval city between Dublin and Waterford is dominated by its Norman Castle and ancient Cathedral.

Waterford. This is the home of the famous crystal, and the shops selling it are definitely worth a visit.
