Everything was absolutely wonderful, our accommodations were fantastic and the golf courses we played were a lot of fun.
Chris and Mike Mahoney, Chicago, Il. 2014 Ryder Cup Trip
The trip was great and things went very smoothly without any significant issues. I could have stayed at the Old Course Hotel the entire time. Rooms and suites were fabulous with great views above the 17th tee. Turnberry, Royal Troon, the Old Course and Carnoustie were great. Didn’t much care for the Kings at Gleneagles. Our coach driver…a must…wouldn’t travel around any other way for sure. Only thing I would change is more time in St. Andrews to see the town. Thanks for helping us with our experience.
Mike Cassidy Tulsa, OK. 2014
We had a great time, lots of laughs and great golf in some fantastic places. The accommodations were excellent - we all agreed we would like to have spent more time in Doonbeg, what a great hotel and golf course. Our drivers in both Ireland and Scotland were fantastic, we couldn't have asked for anything better.
Other than the caddie no shows at Gleneagles, the trip was perfect. You and your company did a fantastic job of putting this together. Thank you and Wilkinson Travel for all your help, recommendations and patience in making our vacation one of the greatest ever.
Alan Stubblefield Cerritos, CA August 2012
Just got home, the trip was fantastic, no real snafus at all other than the tee time mixup at Kintyre and the airline delays. Our driver was great, the hotels fantastic and the weather could not have been better. I played 16 rounds in 13 days and it only rained on me for three holes the entire trip.
On my extension I played the new Renaissance Club adjacent to Muirfield. It is fabulous.
We truly had the trip of a lifetime. Thanks for making it happen.
Kirke Dorweiler Des Moines, IA August 2012
FABULOUS!!! We had the best time, and everything
ran so smooth. Our drivers were great and there
for whatever we wanted. The golf is so different,
but wonderful. Gail and I played 7 rounds and Bob
and Alan played 9. Not too bad for 12 days of fun,
huh!
Our hotels were great, the only thing I would do
differently is stay at the K Club a little longer.
Wow, what a beautiful place.
I have to tell you one outstanding story for me.
Before the trip I was reading Travel +
Leisure Golf magazine. It was the
July/August 2007 issue. One of the stories was
called "The Last Bag Men" and told bits about some
of the older caddies that are leaving and how most
of them are the younger guys now. As I was reading
I thought how great it would be to get an older
guy. I had all younger guys except at Turnberry I
got an older man. We were walking and talking and
it was the guy in the story I had read, David
Scobie! I told him I had read about him and we
just had a great day. Took my picture with him and
have the article to keep also.

Just wanted you to know the trip was great and
everything went off with nary a glitch. The
company you used over there had everything in
perfect order and we never once had the slightest
of problems. The bus was quite nice, and the
driver was a great guy, great driver and very
helpful. Plus he was always on time. Never once
had to wait.
The golf was spectacular. Especially Royal County
Down, Ballybunnion, Old Head and Doonbeg. Believe
me, Doonbeg will be on everyone's must play list
very soon. It was a spectacular course. Plus I
loved the service we had at Old Head and Doonbeg.
Much better than at any other course. The two
courses in Northern Ireland were great, ...
The Killarney Park Hotel was as good a hotel as
I've ever stayed at. It rivaled a Ritz Carlton in
service and rooms and staff. It was spectacular,
...
I will recommend you to anyone I hear going over
there. This trip was well planned and was
faultless in its presentation. I thank you much
for helping us out and making this all so
memorable. We really had the times of our lives.
For right now, I need some rest and a detox
center.

Our trip to Ireland was the second golf vacation
you have set up for us. Each trip has been better
than the one before, and we are looking forward to
our next one already.

This was the trip of a lifetime! Just fabulous!
We had rain on only 4 holes out of the 144 we
played! We especially liked Turnberry and the
Royal Court at Portrush. We can't wait to go back
again.

We just wanted to report back that we had a
wonderful time golfing in Scotland, and all the
arrangements worked out perfectly, so our warm
thanks to you and all the people at Wilkinson's.
Everyone there was most helpful, and in particular
Barry Hynd, who went out of his way following up
to ensure that everything went well, and that we
got to play the Old Course at St. Andrews. Many
thanks for putting together a great itinerary with
great support at the other end!!

The trip was great! We had no problmes with any
of the the arrangements, and the weather was
perfect! We loved all the places we stayed
especially Culloden House, Carnoustie Golf Hotel
and Turnberry. Thank you for planning a great trip
for us. We hope to go again in a few years.

I just wanted to personally thank you for putting
together a wonderful trip for us. There was not
one glitch with respect to any hotel reservations
or tee times. The bus and driver were great, and
the accommodations were superb. As you know, this
was a tough crowd to please. I can assure you that
if I plan any future trips to that part of the
world, you will be the first person I call.

We had a great time. Everything went very smooth.
All of our accommodations were very nice, and
everyone agreed that it was worth the extra money
to upgrade to the better accommodations. Thanks
for all your help.

What a fantastic experience we had in Scotland!
Courses, accommodations, people, weather, all were
perfect. Your arrangements and directions were
very easy to follow. I'm anxious to return! And,
my son's hole-in-one at Gullane was an unexpected
bonus.

Everything went extremely smooth. We had a great
time. The weather was outstanding. The hotels were
1st class. We played some of the very best
courses. Good job. Thanks.

Our entire foursome had a fantastic
experience...I chose your company when searching
the Internet because of two things -- flexibility
in planning, and your experience. My group had
never been to Scotland before and we were all
focusing on the courses and the golf. As a result,
we were pleasantly surprised with the
accommodations and the excellent food in each
hotel. As for my favorite course? Cruden Bay.
Awesome. I can't wait to do it again.

Our trip was fantastic. Anyone who loves golf and
great golf courses needs to take this trip. The
hospitality and people are wonderful, the
accommodations were memorable, and the golf was
unforgettable. The itinerary was flawless and my
party was amazed. Thanks for a great trip. Your
Scottish partner, Gary Wilkinson, made this trip a
delightful experience.

What an awesome experience. The golf was
fantastic! The weather was great, no rain to speak
of, but lots of wind on the ocean. It was a total
joy to play golf in Scotland. Thanks for the
experience.

It was great. The St. Andrews Golf Hotel truly
grew on me, and we were glad to have stayed there.
The food was outstanding and the location was
perfect. We loved Turnberry! Everything was
superb. Thank you for helping us and organizing it
so well.

What a fabulous time, and the weather was great
the whole time! We even played 9 holes the day we
arrived at a gem of a course near Carnoustie,
Lethem Grange. It is a different game over there,
for sure. I paid the price for not driving the
ball in the fairway, but played okay at Carnoustie
and on the Old Course; memories I will never
forget. I can't wait to go back and play some of
the others! Thanks for a very special time.

Both hotels were excellent, the locations and staff were really good. The courses we played were awesome and the order worked out well, even with missing the golf clubs the first day in Ireland. I’m very happy with the trip and your service. Gary was excellent. I would definitely recommend you and Gary as a point of contact for someone looking to make this trip.

I would like to thank you so much for
setting up our "Golf Trip of A Lifetime." Our
driver, John Campbell, was the most amazing and
knowledgeable driver we have ever had. He was always
on time and so helpful with checking in at all the
golf courses. It was a pleasure to be in such
capable hands. John took care of all of our needs
and we had fun going to all the local pubs and
restaurants along the way. It made our trip to
Scotland a complete joy. It was so wonderful to golf
all the famous courses we have heard about and
watched on television all these years. St. Andrews
Old Course gave us all the chills as we felt we were
so fortunate to golf this historic course.
Our driver in Ireland, Frank, was so
knowledgeable about all the courses we played and
really knows his golf. K Club was the most amazing
place and it was a pure joy to golf that beautiful
course.
Thank you again for your expertise and setting
everything up for us. It was a complete ball!

Trip was fantastic!! Had a little trouble with the flights but everything else was wonderful. We were told by several people that we wouldn’t like the Trump course but we thought it was spectacular! It was MY favorite. The driving service was great. Gary and Stuart were super. The hotels were great. The golf was great. The weather was even great! NO RAIN ALL WEEK! The only thing I might have done differently would be to schedule tee times a little earlier so it would have been easier to play 36 and still make dinner, and a couple more days at Gleneagles for the girls. Otherwise it was a perfect 50th birthday!!! Thanks a million.

As an attorney I am paid to be skeptical and planning a trip like this certainly involves, to a certain degree, a leap of faith. On our trip, though, everything went smoothly and exactly as you said it would. We never had one issue or problem of any type. It was an absolute pleasure. I would especially like to thank you for your patience and insight as our plans continued to evolve and take shape. Everyone had a terrific time.

I want to say thanks and let you know my son Grant and I enjoyed the trip and will savor the memories forever. The courses were great fun and the lodging entertaining too. Gary Wilkinson was very helpful and a gem to work with…appreciated his guidance from the airport on arrival.

Portmarnock Old was a treat and the caddie
couldn?t believe we got a Sun. 8 a.m. tee time.
Portmarnock Hotel Links was a solid test. The best
and toughest holes were the doglegs. Baltray was
another excellent links. A full round without
rain, and a good dinner at the Clubhouse.
Roseapenna was very interesting. The hotel is
located on an inlet of Sheephead Bay with nice
views from the dining room. Dinner was a fixed
price of 50 EU with several entrée choices. All
the trimmings were served family style. An
excellent and abundant meal. Golf was excellent as
well. The Sandy Hills course is a tough Pat Ruddy
design through some incredible duneland. My son
the scratch had his best round of the trip here, a
1 over 71 in 25 MPH winds with three rainsuit
changes. The Old Tom Morris course was more
forgiving but still a strong test. There is
renovation going on to neighboring St. Patrick?s
by Nicklaus and no lack of available duneland
here. This area will grow in popularity. The head
bartender set up an early continental breakfast so
we could head to Ballyliffin early.
Ballyliffin is another remote 36 hole facility.
Ran into more rain but not enough to stop us. Two
nice layouts, much flatter duneland than
Roseapenna, and receptive to bump and run shots.
You can knockdown shots landing 50 yards short and
it will roll in on some holes, even into the wind.
My other son, the 5, had his best round, 75 at the
Old Course here. Ate at the club house again, very
good. On to Bushmills which is very enchanting.
Too bad we were only here for about 8 hours.
Portrush Dunlace was outstanding, rained the 1st
hole only and changed to a stellar day. My best
score of the trip. We convinced the boys to pass
on the Valley course, visit the Giant?s Causeway
and get to Newcastle at a decent hour. Sleive
Donard was a great experience, again too short.
County Down was a real treat. The Starter was very
cordial and our caddies were great. Last three
holes were played in sheets of rain and 40mph
wind. Irish stew and Guinness helped mend our
egos. Ardglass rained out with similar conditions.
Great country, great golf and lodging.

Overall it was a great experience. We had great
weather, which I'm
sure can make a big difference. Everyone liked all
of the golf
courses and the food was better than expected,
although with the weak
dollar the food is pretty pricey. I would say
Kingsbarns was the
consensus favorite overall in terms of view,
overall quality of the
caddies and the course set up. Everyone also had a
great time at
Prestwick just because it was so different. And of
course the
tradition at all the Open courses made the trip
special. I personally
loved the double greens at the Old Course.
The Turnberry Hotel was great, and once they got
us moved to a different
room at Rusacks, that ended up fine as well.
However, when I go back
someday I will opt for the Old Course Hotel
instead. The folks at
Wilkinson were great and very helpful.

I finally have time to thank you and your group
for a memorable trip. My wife and I had a super
time. The best golf trip I have ever been on.
Directions were good, but getting used to driving
on the left was quite a challenge. The hotel,
golf, and village (burgh) of Dornoch was our
favorite. I had a beautiful, unique winter coast
shipped home that I can't wait to wear. We enjoyed
the Carnegie Club so much we are considering
membership. Irish golf is planned for June 2005.
We will be in touch. Thank you once again.

Had a wonderful time. My 3 sons were in heaven
the entire time. The hotel was great, courses were
fun (but difficult, as we expected), and weather
was fair ... some rain, lots of wind and
intermittent sunshine. No complaints. Here's a
picture from St. Andrews 1st tee. I'm the old, fat
guy in the green windshirt.

When such a life long dream trip is planned,
excitement and expectations are high. So high that
in most cases those expectations cannot be met.
However, in this case those expectations were met
and exceeded. I speak for the group when I say
that everything was perfect. The golf courses, the
accommodations, the weather (except for the down
pour that we played in at Carnoustie), the coach
and driver, and the people of Scotland were all
great.
Thank you for your assistance and professionalism
in making this a perfect Scotland vacation. I will
recommend you to everyone that I speak to and if
you wish an endorsement for your website, I will
be privileged to do so. Again, thank you.

The trip could not have been any better. Gary
Wilkinson was there to greet us when we arrived in
Glasgow. His people were most professional. The
rental van was perfect. Our four days at The
Rufflets were superior. The people there couldn't
have been more service oriented, and the food and
presentation was five star.
Gleneagles is just Gleneagles. This is how
royalty must feel when they travel. The people
there couldn't do enough for us. Their breakfast
was the most complete buffet breakfast that I have
ever seen.
The Kingsbarns course is an absolute must to
play. This is a great links course and has views
that make Pebble Beach pale by comparison.
You can count on hearing from me again when we
are ready for another outing.

The trip was GREAT! I have been walking around
whistling "Danny Boy" ever since I returned. I
was, and still am, so impressed by the
flawlessness of your organization. From our
greeting at the airport to the day of departure,
our visit was sheer magic. Loved the lodge in
Killearny and the innmaster. Am hoping to repeat
next year, perhaps in the northwest of Ireland,
but wherever I go, I have got to play Old Head
again. The drama and sheer beauty of that spot
remains vivid in my mind's eye. Thank you for
making this the best vacation ever. I love both
Scotland and (now) Ireland. My best to you.

Just a note to thank you for planning a wonderful
trip for my father's 70th birthday. All the
accommodations were excellent! The golf was even
better!! There is nothing like teeing off on the

started to get some guys together for another trip

contact you to make all the arrangements. Thanks.

Thanks for a tremendous golf trip. We had a truly
outstanding time. All the courses were fantastic
with difficult holes, wind and beauty. All
arrangements came off without any hitches
(including your changing the tee time for us at
Turnberry). This trip created many memories for
myself, my brother and my father, and I just
wanted to say thanks for putting together a
fantastic trip. Your organization did a wonderful
job.
